A Self Portrait

 

I used to paint self-portraits all the time.  There was no deep or meaningful reason for my self-portraiture.  I liked to paint and no one would sit long enough for me but myself.  It was definitely good practice, but after awhile I got sick of painting myself and realized no one really wants to buy an artist's self-portrait (unless it does have some deep or meaningful reason).  Anyway, I just wanted to paint a self-portrait.  It's not particularly good and my hair is always a challenge, but I enjoyed doing it, especially seeing it evolve.  And I definitely missed observationally mixing paint.
